J. Eric Layton, DMD, MBA
Dr. Eric Layton, a native of Kinston, North Carolina, graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a degree in civil engineering. While working full-time for a global construction firm, he earned a master’s in business administration from East Carolina University. Dr. Layton graduated with honors from the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and immediately entered private practice at Trident General Dentistry. Although he changed careers from engineering to dentistry, Dr. Layton is “still building bridges.”
Dr. Layton founded Trident Dental Partners in 2015 to be a local dentist-owned, family-oriented group practice focusing on outstanding customer service, comprehensive dentistry, and patient relationships. The group has since grown into a strong, regional practice with multiple locations across the Lowcountry.
Dr. Layton is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and multiple local dental study clubs. He regularly participates in continuing education programs so that he can offer his patients the best treatment options. Dr. Layton and his family enjoy the outdoor activities that living in the Lowcountry provides.
